Museum of Rice (Kasetsart University)

Located within the Rice Greenhouse Lab at Thailand’s premier agricultural university, this museum is a specialized repository of Rice Science and Technology. Visitors can explore the "Rice Culture Hall," which features historical germplasm collections, traditional milling tools (wooden mortars), and modern machinery. The exhibit extends into the Rice Science Center, where live demonstrations of rice thrashing and milling occur alongside displays of the latest research on biofortified varieties, such as the world-renowned Riceberry.

The museum serves as the baseline for "Rice 4.0," showcasing how the university’s R&D—specifically in molecular breeding and sensory science—has been used to develop functional foods for a global market. Delegates can analyze the university’s "Rice Science" curriculum, gaining insight into how Thailand trains its next generation of agronomists to integrate traditional "Rice Life" values with 2026’s requirements for Nutraceuticals and Food Safety.

Pathum Thani Rice Research Centre (RRC)

As a flagship facility under the Rice Department, this center is the "brain" behind the Pathum Thani 1 (Hom Pathum) variety. The site features extensive experimental fields, seed purity testing labs, and a Genetic Resources Center (part of the CGIAR global network). Professionals can observe "Direct Seeded Rice" (DSR) trials, drone-based field phenotyping, and the Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems used to track methane emissions in rice paddies.

The RRC provides a deep dive into Climate-Resilient Infrastructure. For industry delegates, the primary value is seeing the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Model applied to national policy. The center demonstrates how Thailand is re-engineering its rice sector to become "Low-Emission" while maintaining its status as the world's second-largest exporter. Visitors can study the "Rice Saves the World" project, which uses precision water management and organic soil amendments to achieve the high-yield, low-cost sustainability required for 2026 global standards.

Rice Mill Healthy Store

This is a sophisticated Commercial Showcase of the Thai rice value chain in action. Unlike a standard retail outlet, this store functions as a "Healthy Rice Gallery," featuring Geographic Indication (GI) products like Hom-Pathum rice milk and vitamin-enriched jasmine rice. Visitors can see the results of Advanced Post-Harvest Processing, including "five-color" nutrient-infused rice, rice-based clay for handicrafts, and hypoallergenic plant-based creamers derived from Pathum Thani cultivars.

For agribusiness professionals, this site represents the "Commercialization of Innovation." It is a case study in Value-Added Branding, demonstrating how a traditional commodity is transformed into high-margin health and wellness products (Functional Foods). Delegates can analyze the business model of an SME that successfully bridges the gap between the Rice Research Centre’s discoveries and the urban consumer’s demand for Alternative Proteins and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) prevention.
