National Science Museum

Established to promote public understanding of science, technology, and innovation in Thailand, it was founded under a royal initiative to strengthen scientific literacy. NSM serves as a central institution for lifelong learning, supporting students, educators, and the general public. Its iconic cube-shaped architecture symbolises creativity and multidimensional thinking, reflecting Thailand’s ambition to foster a knowledge-based economy.

Visitors explore multi-level interactive galleries covering physics, space science, energy, environment, biodiversity, and emerging technologies. Exhibits encourage hands-on experimentation — from testing principles of motion and electricity to engaging with robotics demonstrations and environmental simulations. Families and special interest groups can participate in science shows, laboratory workshops, and guided tours led by trained science communicators. The museum also features rotating exhibitions and educational camps, allowing visitors to connect scientific theory with real-world applications in an engaging and accessible way.

Information Technology Museum

The museum was developed as part of the National Science Museum complex to trace the evolution of communication and computing technologies. Its purpose is to document technological milestones — from early calculation tools to modern digital networks — while fostering digital literacy and awareness of cybersecurity, data management, and innovation ecosystems.

Inside, visitors journey chronologically through exhibits displaying vintage computers, telecommunication devices, early mobile phones, and interactive coding stations. Multimedia displays explain how data travels across networks, how artificial intelligence functions, and how Thailand’s digital infrastructure has evolved. Interactive zones allow participants to experiment with programming basics, digital graphics, and problem-solving games. For study groups, guided sessions can focus on topics such as smart cities, e-commerce systems, or the social impacts of digital transformation, bridging historical context with contemporary technological challenges.

Futurium

This is one of Thailand’s newest science learning spaces, created to inspire forward-thinking perspectives on innovation, sustainability, and global change. Positioned within the NSM complex, Futurium reflects the national strategy of preparing citizens for Industry 4.0 and future societal shifts. Its purpose is not only to showcase advanced technologies but also to encourage critical thinking about how science shapes humanity’s future.

Visitors encounter immersive, multimedia-rich exhibitions exploring artificial intelligence, biotechnology, renewable energy, space exploration, and smart living. Interactive installations invite participants to simulate urban planning decisions, experiment with sustainable energy models, and engage with augmented reality experiences. Futurium’s design emphasises participation and imagination — encouraging visitors to envision future careers, ethical dilemmas, and global solutions. Workshops and facilitated discussions provide special interest groups with opportunities to debate climate adaptation, robotics ethics, and the future of human–machine interaction in a rapidly changing world.
